NBA Finals, Game 1 - Cavs vs. Warriors

The 2017 NBA Finals begins tonight! For the third year in a row, the Cleveland Cavaliers will square off against the Golden State Warriors. Despite the Cavaliers being the defending NBA champions, the national media views them as heavy underdogs against a Warriors team that now features Kevin Durant.

Both of these teams have been great during the playoffs. It’s fun to debate how things will go, but the truth is that with so many top players in one series, we’ll just have to enjoy the ride because things should be anything but predictable. I’ll say this, though: LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have both been killers, and Kevin Love is having the best postseason of his career. The Cavs have also looked unfazed on the road this series. Could they give the perfect Warriors a rude awakening in Game 1?

Use this as a game thread to discuss the game! Also, be sure to head on over to Fear the Sword, who will also have a game thread along with plenty of other accompanying coverage.
