Cleveland Browns sign 2nd round draft pick, QB DeShone Kizer

Eight draft picks are under contract, with just Peppers and Njoku left to sign on the dotted line.

The Cleveland Browns signed QB DeShone Kizer on Wednesday. The team has now signed eight members of their ten-man draft class, with the only remaining players being a pair of first-round picks (SS Jabrill Peppers and TE David Njoku).

Taken in the 2nd round at No. 52 overall, Kizer’s contract will be worth about $4.948 million, with a $1.739 million signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap's pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2017 will be roughly $899,711.

Kizer was the team's 4th player selected in the draft, and their only quarterback selected. He is 6-4, 233-pounds and played college football at Notre Dame. Kizer will wear No. 7 with the Browns.

Cleveland’s quarterback position is wide open right now, with Kizer even getting a few first-team reps in at minicamp. You can also see a full film room session we did on Kizer here.
