The Cleveland Browns signed TE David Njoku on Thursday, making the announcement right after the end of minicamp. The team has now signed nine members of their ten-man draft class, with the only player left being SS Jabrill Peppers.
Taken in the 1st round at No. 29 overall, Njoku’s contract will be worth about $9.525 million, with a $5.068 million signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap's pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2017 will be roughly $1.732 million.
Njoku was the team's 3rd player selected in the draft, their third of three picks in the first round, and their only tight end selected. He is 6-4, 246-pounds and played college football at Miami. Njoku will wear No. 85 with the Browns.
