Are the days of Akron and Columbus finished when it comes to the Orange & Brown Scrimmage?
The Cleveland Browns unveiled their 2017 training camp practice schedule on Tuesday, which you can see in full here. Also of note is the return of the Orange & Brown Scrimmage to FirstEnergy Stadium on August 4, where there had not been a training camp session since 2013. In 2014, the annual tradition was moved to Akron because construction upgrades at FirstEnergy Stadium were ongoing. From 2015-2016, the session was moved to Columbus, a market that former team president Alec Scheiner appeared greatly interested in. But after a plan fell through to potentially move training camp to Columbus, now the city isn’t even getting the Orange & Brown Scrimmage.
Although the events were well-attended in Columbus, selfishly, I will enjoy the return to FirstEnergy Stadium. Here are the details of the event.
