This week, the Cleveland Browns announced that training camp would open to the fans on Thursday, July 27. Every year, rookies and veterans report to training camp a little prior to that, though, and those dates have now been made available league-wide.
Rookies report on Sunday, July 23 (4 days before camp)
Veterans report on Wednesday, July 26 (1 day before camp)
Per the NFL, it is standard practice that the first official practice of training camp for each club is held the day after the veteran reporting date.
The Browns also opened registration for training camp to the general public earlier today. Perhaps due to additional capacity this year, as well as many Cleveland fans being per-occupied with the whole Cavaliers situation, none of the training camp dates “sold out” right away. In fact, as of this post, all of them are still available. Note: Registration for the Orange & Brown Scrimmage opens at a later date.
