Browns fans optimistic about what Kenny Britt will produce in 2017; don’t think Mario Alford will make team as specialist

Coming off his best season, fans expect Kenny Britt to not just be a one-year wonder.

During our training camp preview on the wide receiver position for the Cleveland Browns, we asked six poll questions to fans.

In Part 1 of our WR preview, we asked three questions, starting with the expectations for new veteran WR Kenny Britt. On the extremes, 4% of fans think he could be a Pro Bowler, while 3% feel he'll be a complete bust. The majority of fans (61%) believe he'll be nearly as productive as he was in 2016 with the Rams, which would be just around 1,000 yards — productivity you’d expect from a good No. 2 receiver. The remaining 32% of fans think he’ll have a few good moments, but will fall off in production from a year ago.

Lastly, I asked straight up if WR Rishard Higgins will make the roster in 2017, and 83% of fans said “Yes.” That’s a little higher than I was anticipating, but I guess it shows the the overall lack of depth at the position.

In Part 2 of our WR preview, we asked two questions, first asking who the most intriguing receiver was between Jordan Payton, Rannell Hall, and James Wright. Despite Wright having some experience with Hue Jackson in Cincinnati, he only got 7% of the votes. The rest of the votes were nearly a dead split, with Payton (47%) barely edging out Hall (46%).
