During our training camp preview on the offensive line position for the Cleveland Browns, we asked five poll questions to fans.
In Part 1 of our OL preview, we asked how many Pro Bowler fans thought the Browns’ offensive line would have after the 2017 season. The majority of people voted for two Pro Bowlers (65%), and more people voted three (17%) than one (10%). I think the assumption here is that Joe Thomas is a lock to make the Pro Bowl, as he’s made it in all 10 years of his career so far.
Still, getting two Pro Bowlers might be tough. Even though Kevin Zeitler has played at a high level for 5 years, he's never made the Pro Bowl because the competition at guard in the AFC is tough. When Alex Mack was with Cleveland, he made the Pro Bowl three times, so the concept of the Browns having two Pro Bowlers up front isn’t a foreign concept.
Poll
Between Joe Thomas, Joel Bitonio, J.C. Tretter, and Kevin Zeitler, how many players will make the Pro Bowl in 2017?

In Part 2 of our OL preview, we focused solely on the right tackle position and built off of a previous poll. Instead of only including Shon Coleman and Cameron Erving in the mix, we also included John Greco and Spencer Drango. Some will argue that Rod Coleman should’ve been in that poll, but he didn’t line up with the order in which I conducted the previews.
Coleman still led the way by far with 69% of the votes. Erving was next with 12%, and then Drango and Greco each had 9%.

In Part 3 of our OL Preview, we asked about who fans wanted to see be the Browns’ backup center. I knew I was rooting for Austin Reiter, but I had no idea that everyone else was too, as the support for him (86%) blew Anthony Fabiano (10%), Marcus Martin (3%), and Gabe Ikard (1%) out of the water.

Finally, in Part 4 of our OL Preview, we asked two poll questions. First, I asked probably the most polarizing question of the series: if the team could only keep two players between John Greco, Cameron Erving, and Rod Johnson, who would you keep?
The most popular individual tandem to retain was Greco and Johnson, with Erving being cut (44%). The other two choices were just about even. If we dig deeper into the individual percentages (and keeping in mind that someone of the three would have to be cut):
- 73% of fans would want to keep Johnson
- 72% of fans would want to keep Greco
- 56% of fans would want to keep Erving
Poll
If the Browns only had two roster spots left for the offensive line, which of these three players should make the 53-man roster? (Note: Assume that cutting Rod Johnson means the team will try to get him on the practice squad)

The other poll asked about which of the remaining three linemen fans were most intrigued by. I thought one guy would literally get every vote, but it wasn’t as lop-sided as I thought. Zach Sterup (78%) led the way, followed by Matt McCants (18%) and Chris Barker (4%).
