DeShone Kizer’s first start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just got a little easier. On Friday, it was unveiled that star defensive tackle Gerald McCoy would miss Saturday’s game against the Cleveland Browns with a groin injury:
#Bucs Gerald McCoy has a groin strain and won't play Sat. Not serious. "Whatever happened to good old fashion rest? McCoy said. I'm fine."

McCoy, the 3rd overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, is a 5-time Pro Bowler and 3-time All-Pro. Back in 2014, he signed a 7-year, $98 million extension, which at the time made him the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history. Last year, McCoy contributed to one of eight sacks the Buccaneers had against Cleveland in the preseason.
