Football is back, and this year, field conditions aren’t going to cancel the Pro Football Hall of Fame game! The first game of the 2017 NFL preseason sees the Arizona Cardinals square off against the Dallas Cowboys. Even though the Cleveland Browns aren’t involved, I have butterflies in my stomach just at the thought of football returning to my television screen.
Both teams are sitting their starters. The Cardinals will play Blaine Gabbert at quarterback in the first half, followed by undrafted rookie Trevor Knight in the second half. Kellen Moore will start at quarterback for the Cowboys. There will be plenty of storylines to talk about with Dallas, given the retirement of Tony Romo and then some offseason issues with key players.
