So yeah, wasn’t planning on coming back at it quite this quickly, but events have transpired between the last posting and this one which simply cannot be ignored. As we talked about earlier, the Browns’ released CB Joe Haden. That, in and of itself, was a pretty huge news-day with respect to our beloved (r)orange helmets.
However, we then traded OL Cam Erving to the Kansas City Chiefs for a 5th rounder, a move that was met with jubilation by basically the entire fanbase. It’s noteworthy as it’s (another) failed 1st round selection, and one that didn’t even last three years with the club. In this ‘cast I get into what this likely now means for the OL group as a whole.
The dust was barely settling on that story when the day’s third bombshell exploded: Haden decided to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Clearly, those two additional events needed to be addressed with the same level of perspective as the singular Haden-being-released story.
