The annual Orange and Brown Scrimmage kicks off at 5:00 PM in Cleveland today and is scheduled to run through 7:00 PM. General admission gates open at 3:30 PM, and you must register for a free mobile ticket to get in.
How to Watch
If you are not in attendance at FirstEnergy Stadium, there will be a live stream of the event. However, it will likely be more of an anchored desk stream (i.e. with Nathan Zegura), with the occasional live look in. There are three ways to view the stream:
- In your browser at Browns.com
- By going to the team’s Facebook or Twitter page
- Via the Browns’ mobile app
After the scrimmage is over, we’ll post our recap of the day’s events, just like we’ve been doing for everything that’s been going on in Berea (i.e. see our Thursday’s recap here).
What to Expect
Friday’s practice at FirstEnergy Stadium will more so try to simulate the flow of a game, such as pre-game warm-ups, the coin toss, calling plays from the sideline, and maybe the timing aspect from quarter-to-quarter. Head coach Hue Jackson said that the 1st-team offense will face the 2nd-team defense, and the 2nd-team offense will face the 1st-team defense.
Weather Forecast
The weather is going to be a big concern because of thunderstorms brewing from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Although the window during the actual practice looks good, it’s hard to tell whether the Browns will opt to cancel the session due to the amount of rain that falls up to an hour before the session begins. Pay close attention to the team’s social media feeds for any weather updates.

Who’s Not Practicing?
The following players are not expected to practice on Saturday:
- OL Gabe Ikard (concussion)
- DL Caleb Brantley (finger)
- FS Ed Reynolds II (knee)
- CB Howard Wilson (knee-PUP)
TE David Njoku tweaked his back on Thursday and is questionable. The team has also been alternating managed days off for various players, but otherwise, the team is pretty healthy heading into the scrimmage.
