Injury Notes

  • Two players are ruled out for the Browns: defensive end Myles Garrett (knee) and defensive tackle T.Y. McGill (back). Garrett might be re-evaluated after the Ravens game, but don’t hold your breath on the team rushing him back. McGill’s injury was sustained during the week, but he was inactive for Week 1.
  • The only other injury to watch was starting right guard Kevin Zeitler, who had a procedure on his thumb this week. He missed Wednesday’s practice, but was a full participant on Friday and will start Week 2. Whether he is as effective as he can be is a different question.
  • For the Ravens, three players are out: linebacker Za'Darius Smith (knee, ankle), and cornerbacks Jaylen Hill (thigh) and Sheldon Price (concussion). Of the three, the one they’ll miss is Smith, a reserve pass rusher. Hill and Price being out leaves Baltimore with just three healthy cornerbacks; it’ll only be an issue if one of them get hurt on gameday.
  • Wide receiver Michael Campanaro (ankle) and linebacker Tim Williams (illness) are listed as questionable. Williams, a third-round pick this year, was inactive Week 1. The biggest injury for Baltimore is the one not listed on the injury report, and that’s because running back Danny Woodhead (hamstring) has already been placed on injured reserve. Terrence West remains their starting back.
