After the Ravens went up 14-0, the Browns inserted QB Kevin Hogan into the game because QB DeShone Kizer was reported as having a migraine. Before people could complain, Hogan lit the Ravens’ defense up with a 49-yard pass to TE Seth DeValve and a 23-yard touchdown to TE David Njoku, cutting the lead to 14-7.
A back-and-forth turn of emotions then ensued. K Justin Tucker missed a 58-yard field goal with a minute to go, giving the Browns a shot to add points. But Hogan was picked off, and then a surprise 37-yard draw play gave Baltimore the ball at the 2 yard line with 0:05 to go. QB Joe Flacco hit WR Jeremy Maclin, giving them a 21-7 lead heading to the half. Baltimore will get the ball to begin the third quarter.
