On Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns announced the signing of WR Bug Howard to their practice squad. Although no announcement was made about who the team released, their roster page no longer lists DL Jhaustin Thomas, so one can presume that his spot has been vacated.
Howard (6-4, 210 lbs) is the tallest receiver on the club now. He is an undrafted rookie free agent out of North Carolina who signed with the Colts this offseason. He spent the entire preseason with Indianapolis, logging 5 passes for 54 yards. In college, he was billed as having sure hands and was on the receiving end of passes by QB Mitch Trubisky:
I like #Trubisky - I believe he will be a good one. #Browns #NFLDraft @browns #DawgPound #TarHeels pic.twitter.com/ezHnE8n6kA
