On Monday, the Cleveland Browns announced the signing of two more players to their practice squad:
- OL Travis Averill
- LB B.J. Bello
That brings the club’s total to six players, with RB Terrence Magee, TE J.P. Holtz, OLB Deon King, and CB Najee Murray having been previously announced. Bello was with the team all of camp. Averill (6-3, 295 lbs) is an undrafted free agent center/guard out of Boise State who spent all of camp with the Atlanta Falcons.
What about the other four spots on the practice squad? At least one of them will be taken by FS Kai Nacua, who went unclaimed on waivers Monday:

One can only assume that the other three spots will go to WR Rashard Higgins, DE Tyrone Holmes, and CB Darius Hillary, all of whom also cleared waivers on Monday.
If you’re wondering about all of the other players who Cleveland waived this weekend, the only person who ended up getting signed to another team’s practice squad is OL Anthony Fabiano, who signed with Washington. I believe the Browns wanted to retain him, so if he chose Washington, that would explain the lone outside player (Averill) being signed to the squad.
