Browns' Week 1 depth chart shows Danny Shelton still sidelined with an injury

The Cleveland Browns released their first depth chart of the regular season on Tuesday, leading up to their Week 1 match-up against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The team is again referring to it as an "unofficial" depth chart, so we shouldn’t act on this as a confirmation that Cody Kessler has won the backup quarterback job quite yet. Here are the things of note from the depth chart:

• Rookie tight end David Njoku remains at the back of the depth chart. As we saw during the preseason, though, expect all three tight ends to have their reps pretty evenly split.
• At wide receiver, Sammie Coates will start off as the No. 4 guy, with Kasen Williams and Reggie Davis taking a back seat.
• Danny Shelton is still listed as injured, and therefore at the back of the depth chart. This is noteworthy because guys like Joel Bitonio and Danny Vitale, who were also “on track to return for Week 1,” are not listed as injured. That puts Shelton’s Week 1 availability into doubt.
• With the release of Joe Haden, Jason McCourty slides into the first-team defense at cornerback.
