- One player has been ruled out for the Browns, but it’s a big one: rookie DE Myles Garrett (ankle). The team signed DE Tyrone Holmes to account for his absence, and DE Nate Orchard (groin) was a full participant in Friday’s practice after missing the last few preseason games.
- Only one player questionable for Sunday: DT Danny Shelton (knee). However, that is a bit of a misnomer, as head coach Hue Jackson indicated everyone but Garrett is healthy enough to play on Sunday. Nonetheless, the team still took it easy with Shelton in practice, still limiting his reps on Friday.
- Starting left guard Joel Bitonio (knee) practiced all week and was a full participant in Friday’s practice.
- For the Steelers, backup OL Jerald Hawkins (knee) is the only player ruled out. LB Bud Dupree (shoulder) hurt his practice on Thursday and did not practice on Friday. He is listed as questionable.
