Back in October, Mike Mularkey and Hue Jackson led the Titans and Browns to an epic 12-9 field goal showdown in FirstEnergy Stadium, with Tennessee coming out on top in overtime. Could Mularkey now be getting ready to join Jackson’s staff?
When the Titans made the postseason, no one expected them to win a game. They did, beating the Chiefs in the first round, which prompted news that he’d be retained as head coach and an extension was being worked on.
#Titans GM Jon Robinson and CEO Steve Underwood told coach Mike Mularkey before the game and told him they were extended him and he was their guy. They said they'd get it done after the game. Now this.

Something happened after the game, as Mularkey and the Titans agreed to part ways. Now, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is already speculating that the former Titans head coach could be the type of guy Jackson is interested in to fulfill their vacant offensive coordinator position:
One potential landing spot for former #Titans coach Mike Mularkey: The offensive coordinator to #Browns coach Hue Jackson. There was interest if Mularkey ever became available.

Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer says a source tells her that Mularkey is “on the Browns’ radar for their offensive coordinator opening.” Cabot adds that Browns head coach Hue Jackson “would be willing to hand over play-calling duties to an experienced coordinator such Mularkey.”
