The Cleveland Browns turned in an impressive performance, particularly on defense, but overall as a team they come away with a shocking 12-9 victory over the ruthlessly hated Baltimore Ravens. This win may be as big as the Jets game a few weeks’ back, and goes a long way towards removing the stench from debacle in Oakland last week. Baker Mayfield didn’t light up the scoreboard as he had in his first six quarters, and had a few moments where I had to be reminded that he is a rookie still. Even with that, he probably performed better than any rookie quarterback the Ravens would face this year, and did enough to get it done. In fact in three weeks out of three, he’s engineered drives that could have been game-winning, and in two of those we’ve come away with the “W”.
I get into all of this and more, including the various ways we almost, but didn’t, ultimately screw this up, in my latest edition of Ez Does it.
