Cleveland Browns standout cornerback Denzel Ward was evaluated in the medical tent and then went to the locker room in the second quarter of the team’s Week 13 matchup in Houston.
After a hard hit on Texans running back Lamar Miller, Ward immediately went to the team’s sideline medical tent for about five minutes before being sent to the locker room for further evaluation.
He’s being tested for a concussion, according to the CBS broadcast.
The Browns weren’t able to slow down the Texans at all in the first half, and it doesn’t seem like it’ll get much better in the second half if Ward is indeed out for the game.
Cleveland’s playoff hopes were a tenuous at best entering a tough road matchup with the red-hot Texans. But losing this week makes every remaining game a must-win affair, and it’ll be tough to accomplish if Ward is out for any extended amount of time.
