DL Myles Garrett 44 94% 3 tackles, 2 assists (5 combined). 1 QH.
DL Emmanuel Ogbah 36 77% 3 assists (3 combined). 1 QH.
DL Larry Ogunjobi 36 77% 4 tackles (4 combined). 1 sack, 2 TFL, 1 QH.

DL Chris Smith 11 23% 1 assist (1 combined).
DL Brian Price 5 11% No stats registered.
DL Anthony Zettel 3 6% No stats registered.
  • Myles Garrett had to be frustrated that he didn’t get a sack, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t generating pressure. He received the highest defensive grade with an 88.7. The Browns didn’t play a ton of defensive snaps, but his 44 snaps equated to 94% of the snaps, a much higher percentage than in recent weeks. He also was utilized on the other end again for at least a snap.
  • What possessed Larry Ogunjobi on Sunday? This looked like the Ogunjobi who was a mauler to begin the season. Per PFF, he made 3 run stops in 15 run snaps, “earning the third-best run stop percentage (20.0) among qualifying Week 16 defensive tackles.”

Linebacker

LB Joe Schobert 47 100% 3 tackles (3 combined). 1 sack, 1 TFL, 1 forced fumble.
LB Genard Avery 39 83% 3 tackles, 1 assist (4 combined). 1 sack, 2 TFL, 1 QH, 1 pass defended.
LB Ray-Ray Armstrong 2 4% No stats registered.
  • Genard Avery was a man on a mission. His reps (83%) continue to increase as he received a game grade of 72.7 from PFF (third highest). Per PFF, he logged 2 quarterback pressures in his 17 pass-rushes and made three defensive stops.
  • Joe Schobert forced a fumble that the Bengals recovered, but it counted as a sack. Schobert (76.9) received the 2nd highest defensive grade from PFF.

CB T.J. Carrie 47 100% 2 tackles (2 combined).
CB Denzel Ward 41 87% 5 tackles (5 combined). 1 TFL.
CB Terrance Mitchell 38 81% 1 tackle (1 combined).
CB Briean Boddy-Calhoun 11 23% 1 tackle (1 combined).
  • The Browns lost Denzel Ward late in the game to another concussion after another player had missed a tackle. With Ward back, Briean Boddy-Calhoun fell back to the back of the depth chart, with T.J. Carrie continuing to receiver the nickelback snaps.

Safety

S Damarious Randall 47 100% 1 tackle, 2 assists (3 combined).
S Jabrill Peppers 34 72% 1 tackle, 3 assists (4 combined). 1 sack, 2 TFL, 1 QH.
S Derrick Kindred 14 30% 2 tackles (2 combined).
  • It was another good game for Jabrill Peppers, who logged a sack, two tackles for a loss, and made some plays in coverage. Damarious Randall didn’t get any interceptions this time around, but I’m dying to know what he had planned if he did.
