AFC North Consideration
In order to win the division, the Browns need to finish 4-0 and the Steelers need to finish 0-4. On top of that, Baltimore would have to finish 1-3 or 0-4. We’ll find out this week whether Pittsburgh beats Oakland or not.
AFC Wildcard Spot
The Browns had some scenarios go in their favor last week, but Baltimore won and Tennessee has already won this week.
Week 14 Rooting Guide Summary
We want everyone in front of the Browns to lose. There are a lot of teams (six) that need to lose — it won’t all happen in one week, but the idea is that Cleveland builds a winning streak, and week-by-week, the Browns move up as a subset of teams suffer a loss.
- Cleveland Browns defeat Carolina Panthers
- Houston Texans defeat Indianapolis Colts
- Kansas City Chiefs defeat Baltimore Ravens
- New England Patriots defeat Miami Dolphins
- Los Angeles Chargers defeat Cincinnati Bengals
- San Francisco 49ers defeat Denver Broncos
All of those scenarios seem possible except for the 49ers over the Broncos. These outcomes would only allow Cleveland to move up to the 11th spot in the AFC.
