According to multiple reports, the Cleveland Browns have tendered three of their exclusive rights free agents: WR Josh Gordon, FB Danny Vitale, and C Austin Reiter.
Mary Kay Cabot is claiming that all three players were tendered for $790,000. That doesn’t match the projections I made; I had Gordon at $790,000, and Vitale and Reiter each at $630,000. We’ll see what the NFLPA database says in a few days.
The Browns will retain partial control of each player heading into next year’s free agency, when they’ll be restricted free agents.
At this moment, there is no word on whether the Browns will tender QB Kevin Hogan, OG Chris Barker, or CB C.J. Smith, who represent their other ERFA.
Also, no news has come down on whether the team will tender either of their restricted free agents: DL Jamie Meder or ILB Josh Keyes. The team’s four players who were already unrestricted free agents, RB Isaiah Crowell, OL Marcus Martin, DE Lavar Edwards, and ILB Tank Carder, have not been re-signed yet.
