The Cleveland Browns have found their replacement for Isaiah Crowell. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Browns will sign former San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde on a 3-year deal worth $15 million. The deal would include $6 million in the first year, which is somewhat of a front-loaded deal.
The #Browns are expected to sign former #49ers RB Carlos Hyde, source said. He’s getting a three-year deal worth more than $15M, including $6M in year 1.

Hyde is coming off his best season as a pro, when he started all 16 games for the 49ers under Kyle Shanahan. He carried the ball 240 times for 938 yards (3.9 YPC) for 8 touchdowns. He also was more involved as a receiver than he’d ever been, catching 59 passes for 350 yards.
Crowell is reportedly signing a 3-year deal with the New York Jets.
The signing of Hyde wouldn’t preclude the Browns from drafting a running back this year, including RB Saquon Barkley at No. 1 or No. 4 overall. Additionally, it should not impact the news of the team trying to extend the contract of RB Duke Johnson.
