Early this week, a source told us that the Cleveland Browns would be bringing Oregon CB Arrion Springs in for a pre-draft visit. Further reporting that visit was Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly:

Springs received praise from Pro Football Focus for having one of the highest coverage grades this past season, but he’s projected to be a 7th round draft choice at this point in time.

One of the knocks on Springs initially was his 40-time, which scouts thought were in the 4.5 to 4.6 range. But during his Pro Day in mid-March, he clocked in at a 4.46, warranting a closer look from teams, including the Browns. Cleveland has already re-tooler their cornerback depth significantly this offseason, and will apparently be looking to continue doing so in the draft.
