With the 4th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft......

With the 2018 NFL draft right around the corner, it's time to take a look at the most important pick in recent Browns history. It's not the 1st overall pick it's the 4th overall selection.

But before we do that, let's run down the top 3 picks.

Pick #1: Cleveland Browns

It's no secret to the known world that the Browns will be taking a QB with the first overall pick come April 26th 2018.

Which QB? That could still be up in the air at this current moment. It could be Baker Mayfield , Josh Allen, or Sam Darnold . The experts and I agree the pick will most likely be Sam Darnold, yet Baker and Allen are both highly still in the mix.

Pick #2 : NY Giants

This pick the Giants hold has more value to what the Browns will do at 4 than is known. With the trade of Jason Pierre-Paul to Tampa, it make sense for them to select DE Bradley Chubb from NC State to fill that hole with an impact player. Also the possibility of taking the BPA- whom a lot of people believe is Barkley is always a plausibility for them to get a RB who will be a major asset to Eli Manning.

The Giants also could always trade out of that pick with suitors like the Buffalo Bills or the Miami Dolphins both rumored to want to move into the top 5 and select a QB.

And of course the Giants could stay pat at 2 and select a QB they believe is the future of the franchise.

Pick # 3 : NY Jets via the Colts

This pick is a 100% lock for the Jets to select a QB. moving on.

Pick #4: Cleveland Browns

This pick right here is what is going to make the Browns in 2018. There are so many options going into this pick as set right now. So let's take a look at players and options for the Cleveland Browns at pick #4.

Bradley Chub- DE NC State

He is one of the nations most disruptive pass rushers and has been a dominant force for the Wolfpack for the past two seasons with 48 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks

Even thought the Browns don't need to draft an edge rusher, he will come in and make an impact from day 1. And it will be very hard for the Browns to say no to selecting him at 4.

Denzel Ward- CB Ohio State

The 5'10 191lbs CB is known for hitting hard and being a play maker in the secondary. Being out shadowed by Marshon Lattimore in 2016, Ward shined as the best DB on the field for the Buckeyes in 2018. Ward is a supreme athlete and could fill a huge hole as a lock down CB that the Browns have been missing since Haden was in his prime.

Saquon Barkley- RB Penn State

Already listed as the BPA in the 2018 NFL Draft, Barkley is a generational RB and would fill the major hole of not having an elite RB in the backfield that the organization has been wanting for so long.

Barkley in 2017 and 2016 racked up 36 rushing TD's on a total of 489 touches out of the backfield, and a combined 6 touchdowns on 79 receptions.

One of those 3 players I believe will be the selection for the Browns at 4 if they decide to not trade out of the pick after getting the QBOTF at pick #1

Some other players that "could be" in the mix for the Browns at 4 are:

DT Maurice Hurst- Michigan. Given a clean bill of health, he has a top 5 grade and would fill the hole left by trading Shelton

CB Minkah Fitzpatrick- Alabama. The kid can play all over the D backfield, but does he have a "true position" and where would he line up? I don't see him playing much at FS with the addition of Damarious Randall, and his outside CB skills, could be undervalued in the draft.

And at last the Browns could ALWAYS trade out of the 4th overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Some trade partners could include:

The Bills- Trading up to 12 already with the Bengals, they want to move up higher than that to get a QB.

The Miami Dolphins- With uncertainty at the QB position, they also could be in play for a trade to the 4th pick in the draft.

If I was making the pick at 4..........

I would 100% take Barkley after selecting my QB at pick #1. If Barkley went 2 overall to the Giants, I would take Ward to be my lock down CB.
