With a lights-out defense, strong offensive weapons and the QB position seemingly locked up after extending Blake Bortles, Jacksonville is firmly in the enviable Best Player Availability territory with their late 1st round draft pick. They’ll take a good look at RB Derrius Guice out of LSU, ILB Rashaan Evans out of Alabama and CB Josh Jackson out of Iowa. All three could be picked in the teens and are value picks now at 29. They rule out a running back, despite the fun of reuniting Leonard Fornette with Guice, his old backfield mate at LSU. They would be happy with either CB Josh Jackson or ILB Rashaan Evans, but ILB Paul Posluszny’s retirement nudges their thinking towards their linebacking corps.

Pokorny: “The Jaguars have a surplus of defensive talent, but it’s the strength of their team and they want to keep adding to it. They’ve already committed to Blake Bortles for a couple years and he could use some more toys at wide receiver, but perhaps later in the draft?”
