According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cleveland Browns could be looking to trade cornerback Jamar Taylor if they opt to select a cornerback “early.” Presumably, that would mean with one of their top five draft picks.
If the #Browns take a corner early, one player expected to be available in a trade is versatile CB Jamar Taylor, sources say. Cleveland signed 3 FA CBs and may still draft one in rounds 1 or 2. That puts Taylor, a No. 2 corner the past two seasons, on the block.

The move wouldn’t be a complete shock if it happened. The team already added three cornerbacks in free agency and cleared out veteran cornerback Jason McCourty. When we wrote our list of five potential roster casualties in early March, Taylor was the first player on the list as he (at the time) had the tenth-highest cap figure on the team. Taylor’s cap hit in 2018 is $5.275 million, making him affordable for whatever team might like to acquire him.
