The Cleveland Browns signed LB Genard Avery on Monday. He is the team’s fourth player of their nine-person draft class to be signed.
Taken in the 5th round at No. 150 overall, Avery’s contract will be worth about $2.749 million, with a $288,948 signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap’s pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2018 will be roughly $552,237, which is behind the likes of Jamie Collins, Christian Kirksey, and Joe Schobert.
Avery was the team’s 7th player selected in the draft, their only linebacker picked, and their only fifth-round pick. He is 6-0, 250-pounds and played college football at Memphis. Avery will wear No. 55 with the Browns.
