The Cleveland Browns signed DB Simeon Thomas on Sunday. He is among the first three players of the team’s nine-person draft class to be signed.
Taken in the 6th round at No. 188 overall, Thomas’ contract will be worth about $2.619 million, with a $159,224 signing bonus over four years, according to OverTheCap’s pre-determined draft chart. His cap hit in 2018 will be roughly $519,806, which is behind the likes of T.J. Carrie, Jamar Taylor, E.J. Gaines, Terrance Mitchell, Howard Wilson, Briean Boddy-Calhoun, and [eventually] Denzel Ward.
Thomas was the team’s 9th and final player selected in the draft, their second of two cornerbacks picked, and their second of two sixth-round picks. He is 6-3, 197-pounds and played college football at Louisiana. Thomas will wear No. 33 with the Browns.
