Former Browns TE Randall Telfer can’t catch a break

Cleveland’s former tight end has bounced between the Browns’ Chiefs, and Colts’ rosters the past few days, ultimately staying on none of them.

After being honored last year as the team’s 2017 Walter Payton Man of the Year, Randall Telfer can’t seem to catch a break.

Right before this year’s draft, word leaked out that the Cleveland Browns were looking to find someone to trade Telfer to. A few days ago, the team announced that they traded Telfer to the Kansas City Chiefs for DE Dadi Nicolas. But then, the trade was mysteriously called off, and both players reverted to their original teams.

That didn’t last long for either player — the Chiefs waived Nicolas and the Browns waived Telfer upon their return to the teams. Telfer had good news when the Indianapolis Colts claimed him off waivers. This evening, though, the Colts waived Telfer due to a failed physical.
