Browns claim LB Brady Sheldon off waivers from Oakland

One more player to compete for a spot heading into training camp.

On Wednesday, the Cleveland Browns claimed LB Brady Sheldon off waivers from the Oakland Raiders.

Sheldon (6-5, 220 lbs) was originally an undrafted free agent in 2017 who signed with the Raiders. He registered one tackle in the preseason for Oakland in 2017, but didn’t make the team’s 53-man roster and did not sign to their practice squad until mid-November. Sheldon was activated for the final two games of the regular season

To make room for Sheldon on the roster, Cleveland placed CB Howard Wilson on injured reserve.
