Could the Cleveland Browns be looking to add even more competition to the cornerback position?
Before free agency started, there were reports that the Browns were interested in Redskins free agent cornerback Bashaud Breeland. All of a sudden, though, their interest dropped off, and Breeland signed a 3-year, $24 million deal with the Carolina Panthers. We soon found out why Cleveland’s interest faded: Breeland had cut his foot in a non-football injury, leading to an infection. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network said that “it would be a few months until he could pass a physical.” The Panthers’ signing was voided due to the failed physical.
Now, Breeland is healed up and looking to find a home just before the start of training camp. He visited the Raiders earlier this week and will be visiting the Chiefs on Tuesday. Later this week, his free agency tour will end with visits to Indianapolis and Cleveland.
More interest in Breeland. He has visits scheduled with the Colts and Browns this week, a source said. https://t.co/wWSmFmpVrv

I’m not counting Cleveland out with Breeland. I did that with Mychal Kendricks, and he ultimately ended up picking the Browns.
