Tonight, the Browns are on the road to take on the Giants in their first preseason game of the year. Here are some nuggets about Thursday’s contest, as well as how you can watch or listen to the game.

Game Time/Date: Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 7:00 PM ET

Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ

TV Channel: WEWS (Channel 5) - Jay Crawford (play-by-play), Tim Couch (analyst), Dustin Fox (sideline), Bernie Kosar (sideline). The game will also air live on the NFL Network.

The NFL Network will re-broadcast the Browns-Giants game on Saturday (Aug. 11) at 6 PM ET, Monday (Aug. 13) at 8 PM ET, and Thursday (Aug. 16) at 10:00 AM ET.

-The Browns will reportedly not have stripes on their helmets:

-Giants head coach Pat Shurmur held the same capacity with the Browns from 2011-12. During his time at the helm, Shurmur compiled a 9-23 overall record. ... Giants offensive line coach Hal Hunter served in the same capacity for the Browns in 2016. ... Browns WR coach Adam Henry served as the Giants’ wide receivers coach from 2016-17. Henry also prepped both Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. and Browns WR Jarvis Landry in college at LSU from 2012-13. ... Browns defensive backs coach DeWayne Walker served as the Giants secondary coach from 2002-03.

-Giants OL John Greco was with the Browns from 2011-16, playing in 85 games and starting 66. Greco is a Youngstown, Ohio native and went to Boardman High School. ... Browns DB Justin Currie was originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2015. ... Giants QB Alex Tanney spent time with the Browns in 2013. ... Former Browns OL Victor Salako was claimed by the Giants on Aug. 1, 2018.

-These two teams last squared off on August 21, 2017, for the third preseason game on Monday Night Football. The Browns were victorious 10-6, with QB DeShone Kizer having the game’s lone touchdown.
