Injury Notes

  • The Browns will be without DE Emmanuel Ogbah this week, as reported earlier. Veteran DL Chris Smith will make his first career start in place of Ogbah, showing the team’s questionable depth at the position after choosing to cut the likes of DE Carl Nassib and DE Nate Orchard.
  • The only other player on the injury report for Cleveland this week is LB Christian Kirksey, who is questionable with a shoulder/ankle injury. He was limited all week. Returning from a concussion this week is LB James Burgess. If Kirksey can’t go, then expect Burgess to start in his place.
  • CB E.J. Gaines was a full participant in Friday’s practice and should be ready to return to game action.
  • The Saints are only without one player this week, DT Tyeler Davison. He has been a starter for the past few seasons, as well as last week’s game, so that could open the door for Marcus Davenport to see some more action.
