The five moves were made to account for the team’s waiver claims earlier in the day.

On Sunday, the Cleveland Browns claimed 5 players off waivers. With those claims, though, they had to cut 5 more players from their roster.

BROWNS PLAYERS WAIVED

  • C Austin Reiter
  • DT Jamie Meder
  • DE Carl Nassib
  • LB Jermaine Grace
  • CB Jeremiah McKinnon

It is a somber goodbye to Meder, the local kid who was largely responsible for the team’s only win over the past two seasons. Nassib is the biggest name to be cut, as he became a Hard Knocks star this year. Grace and McKinnon could end up on the practice squad.
