The 2018 NFL season officially kicks off tonight when the Atlanta Falcons travel to take on the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles.
These two teams met in the divisional round of the NFC Playoffs last year, with Philadelphia just barely surviving by a final score of 15-10. Atlanta will be hungry for revenge, but they are facing a very fast defensive front. The Eagles return with Nick Foles still under center. While he had a fantastic stretch during the playoffs last year, we are also half as likely to see the Foles who performed poorly against the Browns this preseason.
Both teams are very similar to the ones from a year ago, with not too many additions or subtractions. The Falcons are a popular pick for this game, but I’m going to stick with Philly leveraging their home crowd to pull off another close win. Eagles 23, Falcons 17
