On Thursday, it was announced that Cleveland Browns left guard has made the 2019 Pro Bowl, thanks to David DeCastro of the Pittsburgh Steelers skipping out due to injury. This is Bitonio’s first career Pro Bowl appearance, as he joins DE Myles Garrett and CB Denzel Ward, who made the team outright.
“I am so honored to be able to represent the city of Cleveland & all the great Browns fans at the Pro Bowl. What’s really cool, though, is I can share this honor w/ Myles & Denzel, but I wish all our offensive linemen could come too b/c it’s a group effort” - #Browns @JoelBitonio

Bitonio was a first alternate for the AFC. The next closest player to making it is RB Nick Chubb. He is currently a first alternate; but something would have to happen to James Conner of the Steelers, Melvin Gordon of the Chargers, or Lamar Miller of the Texans for him to make it in.
