- Despite not having Olivier Vernon, the Browns had other members of their defensive line step up. Larry Ogunjobi played almost every snap. Chad Thomas, in his first start, registered a sack. But the star of the game, per PFF, was Sheldon Richardson:
-
Myles Garrett is frustrated not to have gotten a sack, but he got to Josh Allen twice on plays that were very close to being fumble (Allen’s arm just barely came forward on them for incomplete passes).

- We’re starting to see Mack Wilson flash a little bit more. He still has a long way to go, but it’s nice to see him becoming more of a presence on certain plays, and important to remember he’s a rookie.
- Fellow rookie Sione Takitaki played 11 snaps and had 2 tackles; if I’m not mistaken, that is his first action on defense this year.

- After getting beat early for a pass interference penalty, Denzel Ward had a couple of pass break-ups and fared well.
-
Greedy Williams was targeted a few times, but had a nice pass break-up that was close to being an interception.
-
T.J. Carrie got to be the nickelback again with Jermaine Whitehead cut and Eric Murray out to injury. Carrie was beat badly once by Cole Beasley on an out-and-in route.

- It was good seeing Damarious Randall back in action. Even though he’s not having a banner season, it’s still much more assuring to have him back there than not.
