The Browns confidence increased 8 percentage points from 41% to 49% between Weeks 11 and 12. It’s the second week in a row that the Browns’ confidence meter has gone up, but this was a 21-7 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. I think the confidence meter would have went up significantly higher, had it not been for the way things unfolded at the end of the game. We’ll see how things go against the Miami Dolphins now in a game where Cleveland’s defensive line is depleted.
The national poll this week asked which quarterback will be the best in the NFL in 5 years. The runaway answer was Patrick Mahomes, but does it sting a bit that Baker Mayfield isn’t on this list? I don’t disagree with his omission — he still has a ton to prove. I did chuckle a bit at seeing Tom Brady up there, insinuating that he he will not only still be playing when he’s 47 years old, but as potentially one of the best in the NFL.
