It was not the best of days on Sunday for Cleveland Browns safety Jermaine Whitehead.
And things got worse following Cleveland’s 24-19 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Whitehead was involved in one of the biggest plays of the game as he blew a tackle on what turned into a 75-yard touchdown reception by Broncos tight end Noah Fant in the second quarter. It was one of a handful of misplays by Whitehead, who took exception to the criticism on Twitter (possibly) following the game:
Well this is not good. pic.twitter.com/KaN9J5Kx2c

Shortly after that Tweet went live, Twitter suspended Whitehead’s account.
There is some question about whether or not the account really belongs (or belonged) to Whitehead, so at this point he may deserve the benefit of the doubt.
But with the way the day and the season has gone for the Browns, would it really surprise anyone if it turns out to be legitimate?
