According to ESPN’s Jordan Schultz, the Browns will sign LB Adarius Taylor, formerly of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Per Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer, it’s a 2-year deal worth $5 million, with $2.55 million guaranteed.

Taylor was an undrafted free agent with the Carolina Panthers in 2014. After most of two seasons there on the practice squad, the Buccaneers signed him off their practice squad near the end of the 2015 season. He was mostly a reserve until last season, when he started 10 games, logging 60 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble.

Wilks was a defensive coach on the Panthers during Taylor’s time there, so there could be a level of familiarity. Right now, Taylor projects as a depth signing.
