Arizona took Rosen in the first round last year, but that does not preclude the Cardinals from taking Murray this year. He is a natural fit for the offensive scheme that rookie coach Kliff Kingsbury will use. Kingsbury will want to get his quarterback first, and I doubt fans will want to see another 3-13 effort behind Josh Rosen and company.

Pokorny: “Last year’s mock draft got off to a bang when Lamar Jackson went to the Browns No. 1 overall, which was completely against the grain. This year’s mock draft starts again with a quarterback going No. 1 overall, but you’ll hear less debate about it. The Cardinals do have to shake their head that they essentially wasted their first round pick a year ago, but they can’t focus on that — move on, and if they believe in Murray, go with him.”
