In Todd McShay’s latest mock draft, he put a “general manager” hat on in which he tries to make the actual picks for each team for three rounds as opposed to projecting the picks based on what he is hearing around the NFL.
Here are the Cleveland Browns’ picks from McShay’s three-round mock, along with his assessment:
Round 2 (49): Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State
Round 3 (80): Michael Jordan, G, Ohio State
Cleveland doesn’t have a first-rounder, but it’ll be OK with that, considering it got Odell Beckham Jr. Layne provides depth at corner, and Jordan makes sense after the Browns traded Kevin Zeitler in the offseason.
Like Kiper, McShay went with a defensive back/offensive lineman with his two picks. However, while Kiper went safety/offensive tackle, McShay went with cornerback/offensive guard. Which combination would you prefer if things unfolded this way for Cleveland?
