The Dolphins will spend no time looking for a QB after dumping Tannehill to the curb and signing Ryan Fitzmagic to a stop gap deal. This is the ideal scenario for the Dolphins, they can marry their new HC to a QB and give them a few years to grow together, instead of having an established coach with higher expectations.

As far as Haskins goes, he’s a big body with a strong arm. He’s not likely to ever get into some of the bad habits that are worrisome for a few of the young QBs in recent history, seeing as he’s as pure of a passer as you’re gonna find in the first round. He’s likely to sit the first 8-12 games, and see some action in the garbage time of the year for momentum moving forward.

The fortunate part about this, at #13 we didn’t have to utilize any extra assets for a QBOTF, however, we’re stuck in the middle of the rebuild, as a rookie if he does start those 4-8 games like I’d expect, he’d be working with a very barren cabinet.

Pokorny: “I understand that Haskins is one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s class. But when I watched Buckeyes games, I just never saw him and thought, ‘This guy is a first-round starting quarterback in the NFL.’ I am in favor of Miami taking a quarterback, though.”
