I nearly lucked out and was able to grab Dwayne Haskins here - a QB that I have a sneaky suspicion may have the best career of any in this class. However, with the Fins sniping him 2 picks in front of me I had to look outside the QB position, and luckily the Redskins have no shortage of holes. An edge rusher opposite an aging Ryan Kerrigan is an attractive thought, but the top end talent at this position has already been zapped, so I looked to improve the secondary where the talent pool has somehow managed to remain completely untapped. Williams and Norman make for a potentially elite pairing, and having a stud CB opposite Williams allows the Redskins some flexibility to develop his weaknesses and exploit his man-coverage strengths. Plus, if the Redskins want to let Norman loose at the end of his current contract, Williams panning out allows them the flexibility to do so.

Pokorny: “I don’t know if there is a cooler name for a player in this year’s draft. The nickname ‘greedy’ was given more in relation to his appetite as a baby, but I like to equate it to his hunger for the football now.”
