I was hoping that one of the big 3 OTs (Williams, Taylor, or Dillard) would fall to this spot, but alas none did. All of the pass rushers worthy of a first round pick are gone also. I didn’t want to reach for an OL or S in the first round. Murphy is my BPA at this point so I’m taking him here. Murphy is talented & versatile in that he can play man or zone and he should make an immediate impact in the suspect Eagles secondary. With picks 53 & 57 upcoming, the Eagles have options to move up, down, or take BPA to address OL & S.

Pokorny: “Taking the best player available at this point is fine for the Eagles. Yes, it would’ve been nice if another top linemen would have fallen, but that’s a position you don’t want to overdraft a player on now when a better player may be available.”
