The Packers take the top-rated guard in the class to help protect Aaron Rodgers and give Aaron Jones room to run in Matt LaFleur’s zone scheme. He’s a plug-and-play guy that should start right away at whichever guard position he feels more comfortable at. In many mocks he has been taken in the late teens and twenties, so I see good value here.

I chose Lindstrom over other options because there are enough good safeties left for the Packers to improve their depth there later in the draft, and the top tight ends are already off the board. I also considered WR, but decided that a starter who can protect the franchise’s star player was a bigger priority than a pass catcher, even though I see an amazing talent still on the board at that position.
