The Cleveland Browns have a fullback again!
The team announced today that they have re-signed FB/TE Orson Charles, who was the team’s fullback in 2018. He played in 13 games with 2 starts, logging 3 catches for 23 yards. Charles didn’t play a lot, but when he did, he had a very passionate persona on the field, to the point where QB Baker Mayfield once commented how he was a psycho (meant to be a compliment).
Charles tweeted the following upon being re-signed:
If you knew half my story you would understand why I will never take playing this beautiful game for granted.

I’m extremely excited to get back to work with my boys and play in front of the best fans in the league. Now, let the grind begin! pic.twitter.com/hAjMi7QCUZ
According to PFF, Charles only graded out to a 46.4 last season on 131 run blocking snaps. He graded out to an 82.2 on 13 pass blocking snaps. It’s unclear whether the Browns view Charles as a candidate to be the team’s fullback again this season, or just needed someone familiar at the position with the offseason programs getting under way.
