The Browns’ front office is excited about what RB Kareem Hunt can contribute to the team this year after his suspension is over, but they’ve made it clear that they will have a zero tolerance policy with him. And while the story published by TMZ today might not end up being a big deal, you can bet that it is something the team has asked Hunt about.
According to TMZ, Cleveland police questioned Hunt Saturday night outside the Barley House on West 6th Street in Downtown Cleveland. One witness told TMZ that there appeared to be a physical altercation that Hunt was involved in, but that they weren’t sure if they were just “messing around.”
WKYC obtained quotes from the Barley House owner, who said, “I believe it was a small argument with one of his friends” and that “people blew it out of proportion,” speaking about the TMZ and social media reports.
There will be a larger microscope under Hunt, and he will have to make sure he is forthright about any details the team asks for. If he tells the team one version of a story, it had better be an accurate account.
